Hello Hollywood

(Warning: this is a non-boy update)

Ever wonder what I do for a living? Well, you might get a glimpse of it if you watch the movie "Extraordinary Measures" that just opened today. It is about the drug that I have been working on for the past 9 years. I haven't seen it yet, so I can't guarantee the portrayal of us lab folk is accurate, but Grammy Jo and Pops enjoyed the flick.

No stopping now

Colin crawled forward for the first time this weekend. I am thinking that he will start to pick up speed in the next few weeks, then we will have to watch out!!
Today, Adam and I went to Chuck E. Cheese for his friend Shiv's birthday party. Lot's of fun, but pretty exhausting (for both of us). At bed time, Adam wanted me to tell him a Chuck E. Cheese story. And just because I thought it was cute, here is a pic that Adam specifically wanted me to take (and then checked it out in the camera afterwards)...

....then he wanted to get behind the camera to take a picture of his own.

Day Care Christmas party

Day Care had their Christmas party on the 23rd and Santa stopped by for a visit and read "The Night before Christmas".

Colin was very curious about Santa...
and Adam didn't really want to have anything to do with the guy.
Adam put on a performance for us too!

...and yes, that is Adam deciding that during the song he wanted to go and grab someone else's bag of candy (what better time? Everyone else was busy singing).

A Bailey Christmas party

Last Sunday we went to Aunt Carla's house for the annual Bailey Christmas party.

And of course Adam and Jakob had fun wrestling...

Thanks Aunt Carla!

A Polar Bears Journey

Today Adam and I got to do some bonding as we went to the Ecotarium for "A Polar Bear's Journey". We did this last year, but Adam was able to enjoy it more this year. Santa made a surprise appearance after the reading of "The Polar Express", and although he didn't want to sit on his lap he whispered to me what he wanted for Christmas as we walked by Santa...."a Buzz toy".

Adam enjoyed the book reading:

And the hot coco afterwards:

We also were able to enjoy the exhibits at the Ecotarium too:

No worries, we haven't forgotten about Colin. He was home with daddy recouping from his first ear infection.
