Hair we are!

Well, it has been awhile since I have done a blog update...but hair we are. Yes, pun intended. Adam got his first official haircut this weekend. You can see in the pic above that the curls were getting a bit too unruly (looks like the one curl is a horn on his forehead!) He went to the same woman who gave me and Robbie our first haircuts. He did pretty good despite his apprehension...

Not to be outdone, Colin spruced up his hair too.

And Colin is now waving "hi" and giving high fives (a bit halfhearted in the pic above though).

We also had a visit from the Baileys this weekend as Jakob and Adam worked on their pinewood derby cars.

Also during the visit Colin took his first steps by himself! But who could resist the alluring sound of Grandpa playing the ukulele??

Happy Birthday Jakob...and other stuff

Last weekend (on Valentine's day) we celebrated cousin Jakob's 8th birthday. Watch out birthday boy...Colin is on the move and wants to join in with the constant wrestling that goes on with the boys.... Adam was just as excited as Jakob with the new fishing gear he got for his birthday.

And both of the boys spend some time at Grammy Jo's and Pops place (showing some more brotherly love)...

Ever wonder what I do for a living? Well, you might get a glimpse of it if you watch the movie "Extraordinary Measures" that just opened today. It is about the drug that I have been working on for the past 9 years. I haven't seen it yet, so I can't guarantee the portrayal of us lab folk is accurate, but Grammy Jo and Pops enjoyed the flick.
